Kay (Yates) Cook... Well it has been
thirty-five years! Doesn't seem possible does it? I have been busy the past few
years. I have worked in grocery stores (go figure), banks, cafeteria at our local
High School (in Kansas) and in Cardio-Pulmonary. For the past few years I have
been a "Domestic Goddess" as I like to refer to it. I have been enjoying being
at home!! I moved to Kansas almost twenty-three years ago after a divorce... with
my daughter (Carolyn) who is now 25. I was a single mom for almost six years.
I met my husband, Bob, and we will be married 17 years on May 22nd...2004. He
has two children who we also raised together..Chrissy-24, and David-22. They are
all grown-up now...empty nesters now! We have four grand - children. Three grandsons,
a grand-daughter and two more on the way, one in May and another in July. That
will make us grandparents six times!!! |

Richard Thompson... I attended
Anderson College and graduated with a degree in Mathematics, German, and Education.
I taught mathematics, German, and computers at Pendleton Heights High School for
16 years. I then got a job with Electronic Data Systems (EDS) as a system's engineer.
However, I missed the education scene and returned to teaching at Eastern Hancock
High School as the mathematics and German teacher. I was also the Technology Coordinator.
Five years ago I left Eastern Hancock High School and became a state employee
as the Information Technology Coordinator for the Indiana Soldiers' and Sailors'
Children's Home in Knightstown, IN. I currently live in Pendleton with my wife
Debby and our two sons, Richard and Ryan. Richard has just finished his freshman
year at Valparaiso University where he is majoring in Astronomy and Physics. Our
youngest son, Ryan, will be a senior next year at Pendleton Heights High School. |

Steve Prophet... Here goes! I graduated
from Anderson College in 1974 and married Diane Barentine in October 1974. I have
worked as a probation officer, construction, factory, sales rep. and self employed
before landing at Madison-Grant United School Corp. for the last 13 years as the
Maintenance Supervisor. Diane and I have been married for almost 27 years ( hard
to believe ) and we have five daughters Kristina (25), Amanda (23), Carrie (23),
Rebekah (18), Rachel (14) and three grandchildren Makaylea (3), Mickey (6 mo).
and Keanna (3 mo). What can I say, my family is my life! We have always lived
in good old Alexandria on 300 West just South of the big city of Orestes ( Go
Cyclones ). Diane is employed at Madison-Grant as a teachers aide and she stays
busy at the sewing machine making clothes for all the kids etc. As you can see
we seem to have settled into the middle age life. I can only hope that he next
27 years are as good as the last. If you are back in the area give me a call,
our doors are always open. |

Donnie Adams. Hello from Small
Town USA. I'm currently living just outside of Alexandria and I love it here.
After a short stay in West Palm Beach Florida, I moved back to Alexandria to spend
some valuable time with my parents. After those wonder years I realized I never
really knew them the way that I should have. My parents were ill and they both
are gone now. I was so happy with the decision, it made a different man out of
me. I married Margaret Flowers (Alex graduate from 1972) in 1978. We have two
children that we love very much. Kristen is 19 and attending Ball State University
studying elementary education. Donnie Jr is 14 and I'm proud to say he's going
to Alexandria Monroe High School next year. For years I stayed with music as a
hobby and continued playing in bands with Mark Sloan and some very good friends
from Alex. In the early 80's I decided to try a life long dream of auto racing.
Had a great time and retired from driving in 1997. We still have the family business
with my son taking over the driving duties. I also was fortunate to retire at
a young age from General Motors and pursue different activities. My wife and I
own an accounting business in Alexandria that she operates very well with the
help of four other women. (yes I stay the heck out of there) You might remember
a neighbor of mine named Bob Dickson who writes sports for the Alexandria Times
Tribune. He was probably one of your teachers or coach and retired from the school
corporation as athletic director. He has a saying that he writes quite often.
"Once a tiger always a tiger". I'm proud to call Alexandria our home. Make sure
and stop by and see us when you are back this way! Donnie |

Patsy (Benson) Johnson Hi
Everyone, Patsy here. It is hard to put together a personal history for the past
30+ years that it has been since I have seen or talked to most of you. I left
Alexandria right after graduation, wanted to be free to see the world. I got as
far as Anderson for awhile (ha ha), made some friends and just hung out for a
few years. I had several friend who went to IU and therefore, I visited Bloomington
quite often. I fell in love with this town and southern Indiana. I did stay in
Anderson for a little longer and got married and had 2 kids (Amanda and Jason).
Unfortunately, things took a turn for the worst when my husband was killed in
a car accident. It was pretty tough for me and my little family for awhile. But
I picked myself up and brushed myself off and decided that I would start fresh
in Bloomington. I knew that I wanted to go to school and get a job that would
allow me to support my family. I moved to Bloomington in 1975 and have been here
ever since. I did go to school and get a degree in Computer Programming and have
worked at IU for almost 13 years. I met someone new along the way and we had a
son, Daniel. Now, I spend my time with my wonderful grandchildren, Haley(1) and
Jordan(2) and my dog Casey. It has been an interesting life. My mother always
told me I should write a book, maybe I will one of these days. |
