David R. Nelson
David R. Nelson, 48,
formerly of Alexandria, died Tuesday, October 26th at Saint Vincent’s
Hospice. Born April 3rd, 1951 in Carmel, Illinois. He was a 1973
graduate of Ball State University. He had spent many years as a life insurance
agent, including seventeen years with American States and most recently,
Principal Insurance. He was a member of the Indianapolis Association of Life
Underwriters, the Lawrence Township Council, Parent to Parent Community
Relations Committee, of which he was chairman for the 1999-2000 year, and a
member of the Parent Faculty Association of Crestview Elementary.
Surviving are his
wife Deborah (Hankins) Nelson; a daughter Amanda Nelson; and two sons Jacob and
Benjamin (wife Susan) Nelson, all of Indianapolis; an aunt, Vonda Renshaw,
Carmel Illinois; and a cousin, Earl Renshaw, Quincy, Illinois.
Services were at
1:00PM Friday at the Flanner and Buchanon Lawrence Mortuary, Indianapolis.
Burial followed in Union Chapel Cemetary.
Memorial contributions may be made to the David R. Nelson Children Trust Fund at the 1st National Bank.
